The pipes were just narrow drainpipe sections with a bit of grating in the front; the watchtower was more grating and K'nex. All very quick and simple. I will be making some LOS blocking scenery at some point, but I need to come up with some ideas...

I love this project, it's coming along swimmingly and looks fantastic.
This is by far the coolest terrain project I have seen in a long time!
Regarding LOS-blocking terrain... How about a chimney/exhaust assembly, some pumps or just cogwheels that are placed upright behing one another. Or a housing for a coucou, Black Forest cloak techno style.
